MY RELATIONSHIP WITH DESIGN
When designing my passion lies in creating extremely functional products with a minimalist and reductive styling. I enjoy exploring the use of modern technologies & traditional techniques to form objects that highlight tactility & material qualities.
Specifically, I am drawn to furniture, lighting and homewares.
My design strengths are working hands on with three-dimensional forms, this helps me to better understand form, scale and function. I enjoy getting into the studio and turning my ideas & drawings into tangible objects. not being afraid to use any tools at my disposal. I pride myself on producing detailed and accurate technical drawings. As a technically minded person, my intrigue in how a product functions and is made has led to me gaining a vast knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.
I also enjoy working as part of a dynamic and creative group, sharing knowledge and ideas as this can result in amazing unforeseen outcomes.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Living across the globe & actively submerging myself into multiple cultures has had the greatest impact on who I am today. I am half English and half German, born 1st October 1990 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I've spent my life living between Russia, England, Hungary, P.R. China, Philippines. In 2013, I completed my tertiary education in Wellington, New Zealand, soon after moved to Melbourne, Australia. Now I reside England.
You will always find me doing something with my hands, whether it be illustration, custom building furniture or restoring vintage bicycles & cars.
